As usual there won't be any snow on the ground, but somehow Santa seems to always find T-town and bring the Christmas cheer with him to the Downtown Christmas Parade.

Next Monday it won't be any different, so mom's and dad's grab the kiddos and find your favorite spot along the parade rout that begins at 7:00 p.m.

The forecast calls for a high of 75 degrees Monday, December 3, and a low that night of 51, so it just might be cool enough during parade time to bring a blanket and something warm to drink.

The parade theme this year is ‘The Spirit of Giving’, and will also be helping Harvest Texarkana Regional Food Bank and the US Marines Toys For Tots drive. So if you can, please bring a canned good or two and an unwrapped toy so that others can have merry Christmas as well.

The parade rout has changed just a bit this year, it will start at Front Street Plaza, turn right on Olive, left back onto the normal rout on Broad, right on Main, right again on W. 3rd, left on Stateline Ave. and ends at the Post Office.

Right after the parade the tree lighting will take place and Christmas caroling so be sure you stick around for a while.

See you Monday night for the Christmas Parade!
