Some beauty supply stores and hair salons are still closed. For some of us, we have no choice but to go natural. It can be a big transition if you're someone like me who wears weave 85% of the time.

Below are some just-haves when transitioning back to day-day handling of your natural crown of beautiful curly hair. m

1. WIDE TOOTH COMB

Always retable a head full of knotted hair with your fingers FIRST, and then with a wide-tooth comb. This requires patience.

2. MICROFIBER TOWEL

Soak up the excess water from your freshly washed hair by patting it with a microfiber towel.

3. HAIR CLIPS

Sturdy hair clips are a must for sectioning off your textured hair before applying hair product.

4. SPRAY BOTTLE

Freshen up those curls with a spray bottle that gives a a continuous fine mist of water. Don't ever saturate

5. DIFFUSER FOR BLOW DRYER

Of course we know "air dry is the best dry". However, a diffuser attachment comes in quite handy for locking in those curls. Just make sure the dryer is on low and don't get too close to your scalp.

6. SILK OR SATIN PILLOW CASES

Replace cotton pillows that pull on your hair with silk or satin pillow cases which are way more gentle on your hair and helps hold in moisture.
