For all of those that have been dreaming of a white Christmas, dreams do come true. With snow falling across the Ark-La-Tex region on Christmas day.

As pretty as the snow is, it has made driving quite treacherous. The bridges are getting icy, and with temps in the 20's tonight, all of the slush will freeze up and make some roadways impossible to drive on.

At 6:00 p.m. authorities closed the bridge from Hwy. 151 to Interstate 30 because of icing, with conditions deteriorating throughout the night.

A winter storm warning is in effect until 4:00 a.m. Wednesday morning for Northeast Texas, Southeast Oklahoma, and Southwest Arkansas. The National Weather Service in Shreveport not only expects an accumulation of snow of 4 to 5 inches, but at times winds will gust up to 35 mph creating very poor visibility. So, if you do not have to be out, stay home. If you have to get out, make sure to travel with warm clothing, flashlights, blankets, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

Be safe, be warm, and best wishes to all for a very Merry "white" Christmas!
