Alleged Suspect Arrested for Shooting Threat at Arkansas High School [Update]
Last Friday, April 27, at approximately 11AM, Texarkana Arkansas Police responded to a shooting threat at Arkansas High School, located at 1600 Jefferson Ave.
According to a press release, upon arrival contact was made with TASD School Security who reported receiving information of a 17-year old juvenile who had made a recent threat of a school shooting. During the time of the report, TASD Security advised police of receiving additional information that the suspect juvenile was possibly on campus.
TAPD immediately began to search for the juvenile and located him at his place of residence. An immediate investigation went into effect by the Threat Intelligence Detective where an ongoing investigation continued through Saturday evening. Texarkana Arkansas Police Department officers arrested the 17-year alleged suspect from a felony arrest warrant for Terroristic Threatening 1st degree. No identification of the suspect has been released at this time.
