Well thanks to boy-child's baseball and many other duties to perform there just hasn't been any time for practice the last couple of weeks between the March Steel Challenge and this Saturday's USPSA match. What can I say, life keeps me busy, as it does us all.

Hey it's not like I'm running and gunning with a sponsor on my shirt trying to win money, I do this for fun. My main goal is to become a more accomplished shooter, have fun and hopefully be competitive.

This Saturday, April7th at 10am is our second USPSA/IPSC club match of the 2012 season. If you're interested in shooting competitively, then you're invited to join us at the Texarkana Gun Club on FM 2149 just a half mile north of Hwy 67 West between Redwater and Maud this Saturday morning starting at 10:00 a.m. If you don't think you're ready to shoot yet, then come out and watch, feel free to ask questions. You'll find this is a very friendly group of people and most are happy to help you get started anyway they can. Click on the link below for the map on our website.

We did manage to get the range super-duper-sparkling clean last Saturday during our twice-yearly range clean-up day. Again thanks to all of our club members who showed up for that project. You'll need to bring you something to drink, we do have bathrooms with running water and everything! You will also need hearing and eye protection.

I'll have a full report and some video for you next week. Wish me luck!

As always, if your looking for a great place to shoot in the Ark-La-Tex, a local instructor or some new friends to shoot with, you’ll find it all at TexarkanaGunClub.org.

Stay sharp and shoot safe.
