The 2017 Scout-O-Rama Committee is excited to announce that new Boy Scouts of America, Caddo Area Council Scout Executive, Anthony Escobar, will be the keynote speaker for Scout-O-Rama 2017.

Escobar just joined Caddo Area Council earlier this year; however, he has been working in Scouting for many years including Assistant Director of Field Service at Heart of America Council, Field Director at Golden Spread Council, District Director at Conquistador Council, and Former District Executive at Sequoia Council Boy Scouts of America.

Escobar is an energetic man who does not need a microphone in most situations, and he is excited about his new opportunity here in Caddo Area Council and about Scout-O-Rama.

“Scout-O-Rama is the single largest Boy Scout show in the four states area.  It brings together thousands of scouts, families, and members of our community to one location at Spring Lake Park in Texarkana Texas. There are family activities for boys and girls, for moms and dads, for grandmothers and grandfathers, of all ages – and it is free.  Scout-O-Rama is the most fun you and your family will enjoy in one afternoon,” said Escobar.

Scout-O-Rama opens to the public Saturday morning, April 22 at 10:30 AM, opening ceremonies begin at 11 AM. Later, you will find Anthony all over the park witnessing for himself his very first Scout-O-Rama.
