Who doesn't love diamonds? Get ready because it's almost time for Habitat for Humanity of Texarkana's Diamonds for Doorways event this Friday, May 13

Not to slight anyone else in our area that donates to charity, far from it, God bless each and every one of them, but this restaurant does it a little differently than everyone else, and this past weekend I got to help.

It's back, your letter carriers have made it possible once again to easily donate non-perishable food items on Stamp Out Hunger day. Mark it on your calendar, put it in your phone memos but whatever you do, don't forget this date, Saturday, May 14, 2022.

This is it, time is almost up and we still need about 200 more volunteers for the two shifts to pack food boxes this Saturday. This Saturday! Thank you to all who have volunteered so far, about 600 people, that is amazing, but we still need more to pack these food boxes and help feed hungry kids all over the world.

'East Texas Giving Day' is this, Tuesday, April 26, 2022, and there are 24 participating Bowie and Miller County nonprofits hoping to benefit from your generosity. East Texas Giving Day is an 18-hour giving event that takes place virtually at EastTexasGivingDay.org. You gotta love Tacos4Life and its mission to feed hungry kids all over the planet. Their promise is for every taco, rice bowl, quesadilla, nachos, or salad you buy, you provide a meal to a child in need. Our Texarkana Tacos4Life is making plans to fulfill that promise with another MobilePack coming up Friday and Saturday, May 6 & 7, and they need our help to make it happen.

If you need repairs to your home Habitat for Humanity Texarkana might be able to help you. Habitat for Humanity Texarkana has teamed up with the City of Texarkana Arkansas and is in the process of accepting applications from Texarkana,  Arkansas residents for the Critical Home Repair Program.

Get ready for a great day of food, fun and live music in March. It's the 4th Annual Wagons for Veterans Cookout fundraiser and will all take place this Saturday, March 12.
