Homicide and Car Chase in Redwater, Texas (Update)

Bowie County Sheriff's Deputies have released the name of the victim in yesterday's shooting in Redwater.Authorities say 50 year old Brenda Hardiman was shot to death inside a home.

Around 12:20PM Monday, January 11, Bowie County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call of a disturbance with shots fired in the 100 block of Fagan Lane. Hardiman was found dead inside the home on Fagan Lane.

It was also reported that someone stole a vehicle from the scene of this disturbance.

A suspect was located in the stolen vehicle on nearby Fagan Lane. A pursuit ensued that ended with the suspect being taken into custody in Wake Village. The suspect is a 16-year-old male.

According to deputies, it appears at this time the victim was not involved in the initial disturbance and was an innocent bystander.

The investigation of this homicide is ongoing and continuing today.
