The Filipino traffic cop in the video below has created his own little world of local stardom, the guy is having a great time doing something that is not only mundane but potentially very dangerous, directing traffic.

Every job has things that are not fun to do, things that if you could just eliminate that part of the job everything else would be just ducky. I've been playing on the radio for 27 years now and believe it or not there are some things in radio that are not fun to do, but they go with the job. We struggle through them because at the end of the day, we got a chance to entertain you on the radio. Besides, we have no other marketable skills.

Confusious said, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” My dad said that too, lots of people have said it in various ways and it stands as one of life's truths. I will probably never gain much in the way of riches doing what I do, but I do it anyway because I love it.
