Steve Harvey said something very key this morning in his final thoughts.  He said, "Joy and depression can't exist in the same place. I sat a second and thought about it.... The same holds true for light and darkness. They can't coexist. You either have light or darkness, but you can't have both. One thing I do know.... what you look at longest becomes strongest. And what you feed only gets bigger. You have to make a conscious effort to CHOOSE joy! If you're in a tug-o-war with depression, joy isn't gonna just jump on you. You have to intentionally CHOOSE joy every day... and sometimes every minute. How? You choose joy by thinking on those things that are JOYOUS! Taking up your mind space with those things that are good, pure, and  praise worthy (we ALL have a lot to be thankful for).

If you ever need a boost to pull yourself out of depression, just start counting your blessings. Of course they're too numerous to count them all. But focus on how He didn't have to, but He did. And watch joy overcome you before you know it.

Those are your Pearls of Wisdom, Texarkana. Go WIN THE DAY!
