Those who attended Marvel’s panel at Comic-Con last month were treated to the first footage from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which featured some exciting reveals — including a little bit of an upgrade for Michael Rooker’s Yondu. Marvel isn’t releasing any of that footage anytime soon, so if you weren’t at Comic-Con, then you might be interested in this new image of everyone’s favorite Ravager.

Over on Instagram, Marvel debuted a new portrait of Michael Rooker’s character from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2:

As you may recall, Yondu previously had a much smaller mohawk prosthetic in the first film, but it appears that his fin has almost fully grown in — though it’s still not as glorious as the huge red one he traditionally sports in the comics.

Here’s the full synopsis for the upcoming sequel:

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 also features returning cast members Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan and Glenn Close. They’re joined by newcomers Kurt Russell (as Star-Lord’s dad, Ego the Living Planet), Pom Klementieff (as Mantis) and Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha. The sequel arrives on May 5, 2017.
