Over the next couple of weekends you have another wonderful opportunity to step back in time for "Christmas by Candlelight" in Historic Washington State Park just north of Hope, Ark.

This Saturday, December 3 and then again on Saturday December 10, Historic Washington State Park lighting up the streets with candles for thier 30th annual "Christmas by Candlelight."  What was Christmas like in the 1800s, this is where you can find out. The description below is right from HistoricWashingtonStatePark.com

You and your family will be in awe of the natural beauty that candlelit streets provide as you stroll through our historic village and decorations, music, and more set the mood for your historic holiday experience. The homes of yesterday are adorned with historic period decorations of pine cones, grapevines, magnolia, and evergreens. Daylight tours are from 1-5 p.m. Candlelight tours begin at 5 p.m. when thousands of luminaries will be lit, and will continue until 8 p.m. Plan time in your schedule to visit Williams' Tavern, offering a Christmas buffet from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. You may also choose to enjoy a horse drawn surrey ride or shop the gift shops for that special holiday gift.

Tours run from 1-8PM and cost $10 for adults, $6 for children ages 6 - 12.
