Magic Springs Theme and Water Park will host Southern Rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd, in concert Saturday, July 1.

Best known for popularizing the Southern Rock genre during the 1970s, the band gained worldwide recognition for its live performances and signature songs "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Free Bird". At the peak of their success, two band members and a backup singer died in an airplane crash in 1977, putting an abrupt end to the band's most popular incarnation.

The Lynyrd Skynyrd has sold 28 million records in the United States and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.

The concert will be held in the Timberwood Amphitheater on Saturday, July 1 at 8 p.m.

Admission is FREE with paid park admission but reserved seats are also available for $8 and $10 at magicsprings.com/concerts.
