One of the things I don't like about a garden is having to stand around and water. It is a necessity but it is also wasted time. I started a project that was going to be a simple, easy to do and not expensive solution to the watering issue. Of course, it didn't go as planned.

Originally I planned to spend about $70 on soaker hoses and connections. I wound up spending over $200! Unfortunately the hoses I found online were not the hoses that Lowe's had in the store. I misjudged the connections I needed, or maybe it was that I decided I needed different ones. At any rate, the water project is done so that time is no longer wasted on watering but the estimated cost was way more than originally planned. That is the way it goes usually though. A solution that seems so simple turns into a major project!

Here are some of the photos from our garden which seems to be much happier now that it gets watered regularly.
