Portions of County Avenue To Be Closed

A portion of County Avenue in Texarkana, Arkansas will be closed  for utility work.The affected area will be the Northbound lane from East 37th Street to Arkansas Boulevard from 8 a.m. Tuesday until late Wednesday afternoon. During this closure the Public Works Director is urging drivers to take alternate routes and a detour route shall be implemented.

Northbound traffic shall be routed to westbound East 37th Street and then may take Beech, Ash, or Laurel Streets to Arkansas Boulevard or continue on to Stateline Avenue. The utility work is in preparation of the new Dollar Tree Store that is soon to open on Arkansas Boulevard across from Wal-Mart.
