What a speech!

Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan accepted his nomination at last night's Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida and gave a rousing 36 minute speech to go with it.

As you would expect there were again many good speeches at last night's RNC in Tampa but the real rock star of the evening was by far Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan. Except for a minor annoying constant throat clearing issue, his speech absolutely electrified the crowd. I suspected it from the time his name was announced and it was confirmed for me last night, Mitt Romney couldn't have picked a better running mate than Paul Ryan.  If you missed it you can click on the link below and watch it right now.

Many other great speeches were delivered last night but the one's a I really liked came from former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez and Senator Rand Paul.

Tonight is the big night at the RNC as Governor Mitt Romney formally accepts his party's presidential nomination. Watch for more great speeches from Newt Gingrich, Mitt's son Craig Romney, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, Staples founder Tom Stemberg, former Massachusetts Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey, Olympians Mike Eruzione, Derek Parra and Kim Rhode. Then in the 9:00p.m. hour Florida U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio will introduce Mitt Romney.
