Needless to say SZA had an amazing 2017. But to have her work admired by arguably the most influential man in the world is on a whole other level. When Barack Obama released his list of favorite songs and books of 2017, the St. Louie native was stoked to find out she made the list, as were many other stars. Among Obama's list of favs were: "Family Feud" by Jay-Z (featuring Beyoncé), "Butterfly Effect" by Travis Scott, and "Broken Clocks" by SZA.

One of the beautiful things about SZA is that she is very excited to receive any type of award and/or recognition, especially this one. This time she screenshot and shared with fans her reaction to finding out via text that she was on Obama's playlist. SZA's friend very casually texted, "Ur song is on Barack Obama's playlist
Her frantic response was priceless and very similar to what my response would have been.

SZA's humbleness and transparency about this type thing is one of the reasons fans adore her.  Having your studio debut album in rotation and recognized by Barack Obama is no doubt something of which to be proud....A recognition well deserved by the 28-year-old talent.
