We’ve still almost a year before Westworld Season 2, so who knew they’d actually give us a trailer at Comic-Con 2017? The robot uprising is in full swing, and Dolores is out for blood in new footage!

The genius of Westworld had it so even the most minor characters leave an impression, so much so that the return of Talulah Riley’s battered bot finally unlocked our mystery box. We don’t know what further mysteries Season 2 holds in store, but Riley’s mysterious Host will be back full-time to introduce us to them.

Okay, so I guess William got that mole of his taken off at some point? Who knew he was so into cosmetic surgery? He should have gotten some plugs for that bald head of his while he was at it.

You’ve waited long enough for HBO’s Westworld, and believe us, it was worth the wait. No longer, however, as new clips and photos from Sunday’s premiere should keep you satisfied over the weekend. Meet the Man in Black, and the man behind Westworld!

Michael Crichton’s 1973 sci-fi film is something of a cult classic, offering an early blueprint for Jurassic Park with its tale of scientists playing God and an ill-advised theme park run amok (seriously, what on earth happened during Crichton’s family vacations?). Similarly, Crichton’s campy romp through a futuristic resort serves as a blueprint for HBO’s Westworld, which takes a more thoughtful and unsettling approach in its inversion of the ’73 film, presenting the A.I. (or “hosts”) as the protagonists of the series.

HBO’s Westworld has captured significant interest over the last year, not solely by its production troubles, but for its revamped approach to the 1973 film. We’ve seen a few photos and teasers, but a new batch offers a closer look at the heroes and villains, teasing a surprising change for one iconic figure.

If anything can pluck HBO out of its current drama slump, Westworld might finally do the trick. A series of stops and starts finally gave way to an October premiere, and a new round of cast photos should make that wait just a bit less painful.

We haven't seen much of David Duchovny outside of his gig in the Showtime series 'Californication,' but the former 'X-Files' star is back in action for the new "suspense submarine thriller" 'Phantom' with Ed Harris as the sub captain who's haunted by his past and his disorienting seizures. Fun!
