UPDATE: Denetre Johnson was located and arrested in Ashdown, Ark., yesterday afternoon, according to police. Johnson was charged with 1st degree Battery, Terroristic Act, and Aggravated Assault.

Original Story Begins Here: A man was allegedly shot at seven times at an apartment complex in Texarkana, Ark., Tuesday. Fortunately, only two of those shots struck him.

Yesterday, December 15, 2015 at approximately 7:30PM, Texarkana Ark., Police responded to a shooting call in the 1400 block of East 35th Street, an apartment complex.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim in the parking lot with two gunshot wounds to his leg. The victim was transported by LifeNet to Wadley Regional Medical Center for medical attention. His injuries were not life-threatening.

An investigation by police revealed the victim was leaving his apartment and traveling down the stairway when he was reportedly approached by two males. One of the males, Denetre Johnson, 24, allegedly pulled a gun on the victim and shot approximately seven times in the victim’s direction, striking him twice in the leg. At that time, the victim reportedly retreated inside his apartment and called 911 for help. Police report that they believe the victim was the intended target of this attack.
