What does America love more than beer and bacon? TACOS!!!! Tomorrow, Thursday October 4 is National Taco Day!

According to the website, NationalTaco Day.com, 4.5 billion tacos were consumed last year. Now that is a lot of tacos!

I'll be honest... tacos is one of my favorite foods. It's a quick and easy meal and if made right, it's a party in my mouth at dinner time. Then again... who said you have to wait til dinner to enjoy a good taco? I LOVE breakfast tacos, and being that I don't eat pork, I'm a big fan of shrimp breakfast tacos. Ya know who has one of the best homemade shrimp breakfast tacos outside of homemade? Fuzzy's! Delish, and they're available all day.

When making tacos, I'm a stickler for fresh ingredients! Freshly cut veggies, freshly grated cheese and freshly made salsa (when available). Fresh guac and sour cream are always a great accent to the perfect taco.

Ok.... now that I'm starting to get hungry, I should probably stop about the taco specials locally at some of our Mexican cuisine favs. Oh and can Taco Tico open up for a day? Asking for a friend. :) See local restaurant specials below:
