Laissez le bon temps ruler! It's almost time for the 7th Annual Mardi Gras Texarkana! So get ready to get your Bayou Boogie on March 2 from 10 AM to 5 PM.

There's a whole lot of fun, good eating and shopping for all ages again this year at Mardi Gras Texarkana. So, we're gearing up early and should you. This year's contest include:

 

  • Virtual King Cake Baby contest on the Mymajic933.com coming in January

 

  •  King & Queen of Krewe of  Koinonia contest that will allow you to submit pictures to the Majic website to be judged for a chance to ride in parade.

Not feeling a contest, no problem. Become a craft and/or food vendor by downloading an application at mardigrastexarkana.com which is also where you can pay booth fees.

Speaking of food... don't miss out on the Beast Feast, featured Mardi Gras event presented by Harvest Regional Food Bank featuring competitors cooking venison, wild game, quail, duck, alligator,  rabbit etc. they actually caught themselves. Competitors will compete for prizes and bragging rights. Visitors can sample their entries.

Last but definitely not least.... What is Mardi Gras without parades?!?

Parade Schedule
11 AM - Krewe of Barkus, Meoux and Little Rascals - pets and kids ofall ages can enter. It will include decorating wagons,bikes, strollers, tricycles, and wheelchairs.
1 PM - Zany Cajun Parade - Includes golf carts, side-by-sides, ATVs, etc
3 PM - Krewe of Koinonia Parade - Includes Mardi Gras floats, antique and classic vehicles.

The kids area will include bounce houses, mask making, face painting, a selfie station, cornhole, washers, horseshoes and much more.
