Here is a sad but sweet story that hits close to home for me. It's about a dog named Lennox that lived like a boss, and his last meal was fit for such a great dog.

We saw it passed around on Facebook, but the post originated on Reddit, by Nikolaoss the roomate of Lennox's person. The post read, "My roomate's boxer Lennox is getting put down today, we made him his last meal..."

Lennox was suffering from Cancer and severe arthritis. He had undergone surgery to remove a tumor from his ear, but had a new growth on his left shoulder that could not be removed. That, with his arthritis, made it very difficult for Lennox to get around.

Even though it is a terribly bad situation, Nikolaoss posted

This post isn't meant to be sad in any way. He lived like an absolute boss all his life! And the meal reflects that!"

Here's video of Lennox limping over to his feast, and most definitely enjoying it... The meal consisted of Bacon, Turkey, Sausage, Cheese bread, rice and a salad.

Lennox passed away January 23, at 3:45 p.m.

I recently lost my best good friend Cletus to Cancer, and even though I still feel a tremendous amount of guilt for having to do it, I am starting to realize that we did the right thing by letting him go... It is a kindness that we do for the furry loves of our lives.

I put together a video tribute to Cletus... I hope you will watch it.

THE LAST BATTLE
If it should be that I grow frail and weak
and pain should keep me from my sleep.
Then you must do what must be done.
For this, the last battle, can't be won.
You will be sad I understand.
Don't let grief then stay your hand.
For on this day, more than the rest.
Your love and friendship must stand the test.
We have had so many happy years,
what's to come can hold no fears.
You'd not want me to suffer, so,
When the time comes, please let me go.

Take me to where my needs they'll tend.
Only, stay with me till the end.
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time you will agree
it is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail it's last has waved.
From pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don't grieve that it must be you
who has decided this thing to do.
We've been so close, we two, these years.
Don't let your heart hold any tears.
