Each new development in the Fast and Furious feud is somehow more delightful and absurd than the last. First there was the highly-publicized beef between Dwayne Johnson and Vin “CandyAss” Diesel. Then Tyrese Gibson got involved when it was announced that Johnson is headlining a spinoff. That quickly escalated when Universal pushed back the release of Furious 9 to make room for the spinoff, and now, a few irate Instagram posts later, here we are: Tyrese Gibson is threatening to quit the Fast fam if Dwayne Johnson returns for the ninth movie.

As of late, it seems like Vin Diesel is mostly keeping out of the drama, though in a recent video post he did make a point of emphasizing how the return of director Justin Lin and co-star Jordana Brewster would help get the series back to where it needs to be — which seemed like he was throwing some not-so-subtle shade Johnson’s way.

But the current portion of this beef — which has become increasingly wacky and over-the-top, like the franchise itself — is between Tyrese Gibson and Dwayne Johnson. Gibson has been pretty vocal about his unhappiness with Johnson’s spinoff plans, posting a few rants and even sharing an old video of his co-star savagely ripping Gibson’s last album. (To be fair, Johnson was obviously joking in the video, though recent developments suggest there was some underlying truth to his diss bomb).

That brings us to now, and a couple of hours ago, when — as EW points out — Gibson posted another message for his Fast fam on Instagram:

“Hello world,” Gibson’s message begins before launching into a statement fitting of a diva. “I’m sorry to announce that if Dewayne [sic] is in Fast 9 there will be no more Roman Peirce [sic].” And then he gets his actual family involved: “You mess with family and my daughters [sic] survival I mess with yours.”

Gibson goes on to call Johnson a “clown,” followed by the hashtag “CandyAssBitchMade” and then he accuses his co-star of “juicing” to get ripped with “#NoJuice #NoOJ.” (Meanwhile, in an FX boardroom, Ryan Murphy is proudly pitching “The Feud and the Furious.”)

Mr. Johnson, care to respond?
