On the Border is the place to be this Saturday for the 'The Battle on The Border' is back for its second year and this year will be a blast!!!

The United Way of Texarkana has created this amazing event to raise money for the Imagination Library, a program to provide books to kids of all ages. It is definitely the gift that speaks volumes for our community's future.The event will take place at On The Border Restaurant in Texarkana on Saturday starting at 5 PM.

The 'Imagination Library" is a program to provide books to kids from newborn up to 5 years of age in Bowie, Miller, Cass, Lafayette and Little River Counties. That is a total of 6 books per child. This program is one of the most important ways to improve educational opportunities for children. A little history about the Imagination Library Program....  In 1995, Dolly Pardon developed this program so that every preschool child in her home of Sevier County, Tennessee, that would encourage in them a love of reading and learning.

The "Battle on the Border' will have plenty for the whole family to enjoy including some great live music from Texarkana's own Moss Brothers Band.

The headlining band this year is Sol Def a Fleetwood Mac cover band.
