Former Pleasant Grove and Texas A&M star pitcher Michael Wacha pitched the Cardinals into a World Series tie with the Boston Red Sox last night at Fenway Park.Wacha pitched six innings and really only made one mistake. He only gave up three hits over that six innings. One of them was a two run homer by Red Sox power hitter David Ortiz which briefly put Boston ahead 2-1.

The Cardinal bats and some sloppy Red Sox fielding allowed the Cardinals to take back the lead in the 7th. The bullpen was solid for the Red Birds as they held on for the 4-2 victory.

The best of seven series is now tied at a game a piece. Today is a travel off day. The series resumes with Game's three, four, and five to be played in St. Louis Saturday through Monday.
