Abandoned Arkansas Water Park Flipping into Entertainment Center

An abandoned themed water park, Wild River Country which was once known as Arkansas' Largest Water Park in North Little Rock has been bought and the property will be turned into a high-tech Entertainment Park.

According to Arkansas Business, a Conway cardiologist, Dr. James Thomas, is to close on the deal within the next 60 days, with plans to construct the $28 million entertainment venue in 2023. The former Wild River Country has plenty of space 30 acres, in which to turn this into Maly's Entertainment Center. There will be a variety of electronic games including a HyperBowling, bowling, and gaming all rolled into one, no pun intended, 24-lanes of bowling with colored targets.

Driving Range

The entertainment park will cater to kids and adults of all age groups. There will also be n electronic driving range that tracks balls. Watch the video.

After some legal problems arose on the property, the park was sold in an auction but never reopened and has been closed and abandoned since 2019. A similar venue in Conway will begin construction in two months, by the Maly Group.

I know lots of families and church groups in Texarkana that used to make this an annual summer trip for a long time back in the day.

Personally, I wish we could get something similar to this in Texarkana but for now, it sounds like another road trip to Central Arkansas soon!
