Texas A&M-Texarkana PLACE will be hosting a poet this Friday April 13.

The Program for Learning and Community Engagement at Texas A&M University-Texarkana will present writer and poet Christina M Rau, for a reading from her recent collection, “Liberating the Astronauts.” The reading will take place Friday, April 13 in Room 217 of the University Center Building at A&M-Texarkana.  The event is from 7:30-9:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public. There will be a select number of copies of her collection available at the reading.

PLACE is a faculty-led program designed to create a community of learners comprising A&M-Texarkana students, faculty, staff and the community at large. PLACE chooses an annual theme around which to organize a lecture series and other activities that provide focal points for learning and discussion. This year’s theme is “science and technology.”
