Is the Arkansas State Crime Lab in Little Rock Haunted?

What is going on at the Arkansas State Crime Lab in Little Rock these days? Let me put to you this way, you don't want to be there after the sun goes down.

There have been reports of ghostly apparitions and other strange supernatural occurrences going on that a team of paranormal investigators known as "Sweeet n' Sour" was brought in to investigate the crime lab grounds several months ago. Of course, the purpose of the lab itself is to investigate unexpected deaths. Many of what the paranormal investigators found were spirits who were still connected to the crime lab by death or buried underneath the lab before it was ever built. A family who lived right behind the crime lab was experiencing some very unexplained activity in their home and decided to have their home and the crime lab area checked out.

What they found will give you the chills!

Not only did one of the ghost hunters come in contact with a ghost who wanted to hold hands but there was also the sound of a little boy's voice who they identified as Billy.

The history of the location goes back to 1883 when a lunatic asylum was set on the property near where the crime lab is today. People who were housed there were being treated for various types of addictions such as alcohol, drug addictions, and other mental health issues and the asylum's main problem was overcrowding.

Hundreds of deaths occurred and were buried on the grounds, the asylum eventually became a state hospital, and later they had to move the graves to a site known as the natural resource area where some 4000 bodies were buried. In the 1970s they had to move again but some of the bodies remained while others were moved. If you walk on these grounds you are likely to see grave markers on the grounds and a memorial marker, according to a local historian and a story on KARK-TV.

So, don't be surprised if you are ever at the Arkansas State Crime Lab that you may see a shadow or something peeking at you from around a tree. Spooky!
