COVID-19 Texarkana Area Update for Friday, August 7

Bowie County Emergency Operations Center reports a total of 713 positive COVID-19 cases, with 291 recoveries and 39 related deaths. There are currently 383 active cases being traced in Bowie County.

Cass County has a total of 166 cases with 84 recoveries, 8 deaths and currently 74 active cases.

Miller County has 499 total cases, 60 active positive cases, 4041 negative results, 434 recovered and 5 deaths. (Updated 8/7/20)

The Bowie County/Texarkana, Texas Joint Operations Center is still conducting contact tracing on positive cases, so if you test positive for COVID-19, or are a healthcare provider that conducts COVID testing, please notify the Local Health Authority at (903) 255-5560.
