DJ Khaled has hit a consulting company with a lawsuit claiming that they are trying to profit off his son’s name. According to TMZ, Khaled filed a complaint against Curtis Bordenave and his company, Business Consulting, for filing trademarks for “Asahd Couture,” “Asahd” and “We the Best Lifestyle.”

In his suit, the Miami hitmaker accuses Bordenave of allegedly making clothes featuring his son name Asahd. Khaled believes this will cause confusion in the marketplace and divert inequitable profit to Bordenave.

Khaled claims he’s developing his own business called Haddad Brands and alleges that Bordenave has tried to block him from using anything Asahd-related. Khaled also claims that Bordenave has filed trademarks on other celebrity names like “Stormi Couture,” “Cardi B” and “Cynthia Bailey Eyewear,” among others.

We must also mentioned that Curtis Bordenave, was in the news in July 2017 for filing a trademark for the commercial use of the N-word that ends in “a." He reportedly had T-shirts made with the word on it with plans on selling them. So there's that.

In any case, Khaled is asking a judge to stop Bordenave from using his son’s name and cough up any profits he’s made so far.

Attorneys for both DJ Khaled and Curtis Bordenave had no comment on the matter.
