Human Computer Chosen As Google Doodle [VIDEO]

Today Google chose to honor the life of Shakuntla Devi, the "Human Computer" as the Google Doodle. She was born Bangalore, India in 1929 and died in the same city in 2013 from heart and kidney complications.

Shakuntla Devi's father learned of her gift to memorize numbers while teaching her a card trick when she was three years old. From this point on, she and her father took her talent on the road until they moved to London in 1944.

In 1980, she moved back to Bangalore and toured the world demonstrating her mathematical abilities. Ms. Devi is listed under "mental calculations" in the 1982 Guinness Book of World Records.
