The winners of the 2024 Arkansas Food Hall of Fame have been announced. They were announced last night, Monday, September 30 at an evening ceremony in Little Rock.
The event brought together the best of the best in food, restaurants, and food enthusiasts in Arkansas. Former Miss Arkansas, Ebony Mitchell, emceed the event and represented the Arkansas Foodbank.
During the event, the hunger issue in Arkansas was addressed and attendees to the event were encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item for donation to the Arkansas Foodbank as an entry fee.
Arkansas has so many wonderful restaurants and food-themed events that the state's Division of Arkansas Heritage decided to honor Arkansas' culinary heritage in 2016. This yearly event recognizes the best restaurants, proprietors and food-themed events.
Back in May, Marty Ryall, director of the Division of Arkansas Heritage, stated in a press release,
This year’s finalists embody the flavors, traditions and stories that define Arkansas. As we celebrate these restaurants, we honor not only the dishes they create but the communities they feed and the legacies they preserve.
