GoveeLife and Govee Smart Electric Space Heaters have been recalled due to overheating risks that could lead to fires or burns. The U.S. government’s safety testing found the heaters, controlled via wireless features, fail to meet the UL 1278 voluntary industry safety standard, which covers electrical heating appliances.

The recall impacts approximately 512,500 units in the U.S. and over 48,000 more in Canada. The affected models include H7130 (and its variation H7130101), H7131, H7132, H7133, H7134, and H7135, which range in height from 9 to 26 inches and come in black and white. "GoveeLife" or "Govee" is printed on each unit, with the model number located on the underside.

Consumers are urged to stop using these heaters immediately, unplug them, and cut the power cord. To receive a refund, consumers should submit photos of the disabled heater, including its manufacturer’s label and SN Code, through the recall website. Refunds range from $31.80 to $106.63 based on the model, or the full purchase price if an original order number is provided.
