Texarana's Harvest Regional Food Bank is calling on volunteers to help bring in a fresh harvest of sweet corn for local families in need. No, this isn't a late reminder of the one that was done a week or so ago; this is another one, and it's coming up Monday and Tuesday.

Another generous farmer in Little River County has once again donated two acres of corn, and now it’s time to get it from the field to the table.

When and Where?

Volunteers are invited to join the gleaning effort (take 2) on Monday, June 30, and Tuesday, July 1, from 8 AM to 12 PM. A third day, Wednesday, July 2, may be added if needed. Helpers of all ages are welcome.

This is the second corn-picking event hosted by Harvest Regional Food Bank in the last week, highlighting the strong support from area farmers and the growing need for fresh produce among families across the region. Last time, community volunteers showed up in a big way, and Harvest is hoping for an even bigger turnout this round.

Ok, Now Where?

All volunteers will meet each morning at the Foreman rest stop, located at the intersection of Hwy 32 and Hwy 82.
