For the Sake of One, a local nonprofit that supports children and families in foster care, will host its 8th Annual Hope Banquet on Thursday, October 16, at 6:30 PM. The event, presented by the Texas Pioneer Foundation, will be held at The Canvas Special Events Center located at 2101 Texas Blvd, Texarkana, TX.

The Hope Banquet is the organization’s biggest fundraiser of the year and features inspiring stories from local foster, adoptive, and kinship families. The evening will also include a dinner catered by Emmie P's Bistro & Catering and both a date night basket and a 50/50 raffle.

"We are thrilled to host this year’s Hope Banquet and celebrate the incredible stories of hope within our community," said Alyssa Beach, Assistant Director at For the Sake of One. "This event not only raises funds to support local families, but also brings our community together to be inspired by the resilience of those we serve.”

A Mission of Hope and Healing

As a non-profit that does not receive government funding, For the Sake of One relies on grants and donations to support its mission of sharing God's love with local children and families before, during, and after foster care. The organization provides support through programs like CarePortal, Building Healthy Families, and Supervised Visitation.
