The Self Creek Chili Cook-Off Returns to Arkansas’ Lake Greeson October 25
Grab your big chili pot, apron, and your secret recipe because it's back! The Self Creek 10th Annual Chili Cook-Off returns on beautiful Lake Greeson in Kirby, Arkansas, Saturday, October 25.
Cooking Starts at 10 AM - Judging Begins at 1 PM
Cooks start at 9 AM. Public sampling of the chili and music start at 12 PM, and judging will begin around 1 PM. Every team must make its chili from scratch. This means no canned chili or pre-cooked meat, but beans are fair game. Each team is asked to prepare at least four gallons, so there’s plenty to share with both the judges and the crowd. Print out your entry form and get started. There is no entry fee, and see the rules here.

Don’t Miss the People’s Choice Category
This year will also bring back the People’s Choice category. That means everyone gets to cast their vote for their favorite pot of chili.
