Bowie County Sheriff’s Office Weekly Crime Summary for 9/22

Bowie County Deputies made a total of 83 arrests around Texarkana and other parts of the county for the week ending Sunday, September 21. Sheriff Jeff Neal reports that BCSO deputies arrested 30, while other law enforcement agencies brought in an additional 53.

Arrests & Warrants

Multiple warrant services were carried out on North State Line Avenue in Texarkana, resulting in arrests for probation violations, bond surrenders, holds for other agencies, and charges including possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, indecency with a child, aggravated assault, robbery, and burglary of a habitation.
Notable arrests included Anthony Alexander Washington (robbery and aggravated robbery), James Blake Bourgeois (indecency with a child), and Monterrian Jermone Henderson (aggravated assault and deadly conduct).
Several individuals were jailed on commitment sentences for possession of controlled substances.

Assaults & Violence

Multiple cases of assault causing bodily injury, including family violence incidents in Simms, Texarkana, and DeKalb.
One report included injury to a child (family violence).
Authorities also investigated reports of sexual assault and continuous sexual abuse of a child.

Thefts & Property Crimes

Vehicle thefts were reported in Maud and Texarkana, with one stolen 2025 Polaris Ranger later recovered.
Burglaries included a residence in Texarkana (computer hard drives stolen) and a vehicle in Hooks, where items taken included two handguns, tools, electronics, and prescription medication.
Other thefts involved an iPhone 16 in Maud, commissary food items in Texarkana, and $750 cash.
Criminal mischief cases were reported in New Boston and Texarkana.

Other Incidents

Deputies handled death investigations in Texarkana and DeKalb.
Reports also included harassment, dog bite, suspicious circumstances, lost firearm, dangerous dogs, and prohibited substances in a correctional facility.
