Look up to The Skies Texarkana, It’s The Goodyear Blimp!
Look up into the sky and be on the lookout for the iconic Goodyear Blimp in Texarkana.
The Goodyear Blimp is making an appearance in our area in honor of the 60 years of great Cooper Tires being made in Texarkana, Arkansas.
The iconic Goodyear Blimp will be floating the skies over the Texarkana area will arrive Monday afternoon September 30 and Tuesday, October 1 weather permitting. This event is in celebration of the six decades that the Texarkana plant has proudly produced Cooper-branded tires. Previously known as but still referred to as Cooper Tire has been part of the Goodyear company family since 2021 when the company’s acquisition of Cooper Tire & Rubber Company came into effect.
The blimp's visit honors the hard work of Goodyear-Texarkana employees, who take pride in manufacturing high-quality tires every day.
The blimp is scheduled to arrive sometime this afternoon (September 30). Rides in the blimp are closed to the public and will only be offered to the Texarkana plant employees on Tuesday, October 1 then it will leave Texarkana on Tuesday evening.
All of us are encouraged to show our excitement when we see the Goodyear blimp overhead.
