Summerhill Rd in Texarkana – Gas Station and Taqueria Now Open

I'm not sure just how long it took for this remodel to take place, but it seems like it took forever. Some are saying it was two years, and looking at Google Maps, that might be just about right.

Just before the remodel began back in July 2023, I guess it was just time to spruce up the old place.

The "sprucing" began, and at some point it seemed to just... stop. Nothing appeared to happen for a long time.

I know, not many of you get real excited over a new gas station, me neither, under normal circumstances. This gas station, however, put up a sign on the side of the building facing the I-30 service road, "Taqueria". Any good Texan knows that means "Tacos"... and any new place with tacos is worth investigation.

Here we are almost two years later, and sure enough, the promises of gas and Tacos have not been a lie after all. (Heh - did I say gas and tacos?)
