A Legacy of Giving: Mayor Brown Receives Legion of Honor Award
Congratulations to Texarkana, Arkansas, Mayor Allen Brown and Mil-Way FCU President for 30 years of Kiwanis Service. Brown was recently awarded the prestigious Legion of Honor for three decades of dedicated service with the Kiwanis Club of Texarkana.
Mayor Brown has been an active member of the Texarkana chapter for 30 years, contributing his leadership and time to countless local service projects and initiatives in our area.
“What a wonderful surprise to receive the Legion of Honor Award, and to have it presented to me by my good friend Lauren Layne and my mayor counterpart, Mayor Bruggeman, made it even that much more special."
The Legion of Honor recognizes members who have demonstrated long-standing commitment to Kiwanis International’s mission of serving children and communities.
"Seeing what our local club does for children in our area makes us all proud to be associated with and a member of Kiwanis, said Mayor Brown. Being a Kiwanis member for over 30 years has allowed me the opportunity to meet and make some very special friends and business associates."

The Kiwanis Club of Texarkana, part of Kiwanis International, focuses on improving the lives of children and families in the community through hands-on projects and fundraising efforts. Mayor Brown’s recognition highlights both his professional and civic dedication to the Texarkana region.
