National Weather Service Releases Overall Total of Winter Precipitation in Texarkana

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has released a report indicating that the Texarkana area received 4 inches of sleet and 0.1 inch of freezing rain. Even though we had some snow, most of the precipitation from Winter Storm Fern was sleet and ice.

Friday Weather: Partly Sunny, high near 42, low near 33.

Extended Weekend Weather: Turning much colder on Saturday with a high near 34, below freezing on Saturday night with temperatures in the upper teens. On Sunday, expect the high to be near 45 with a nighttime low of 19.
