
A&M-Texarkana Honors Legacy Donors by Naming New College of Business and University Center
Big news at Texas A&M University-Texarkana. Earlier this week, on Tuesday, October 7, they announced and officially renamed its University Center as the Anita and Truman Arnold University Center and announced that its newly formed College of Business will also have their name, the Anita and Truman Arnold College of Business.

The announcement came during a special ceremony, where faculty, staff, students, and community members gathered to celebrate the Arnolds’ support of the university. Both Anita and Truman Arnold attended the event to witness the dedication.
Dr. Ross Alexander, A&M-Texarkana President, said in a press release,
We are deeply privileged to honor and celebrate Anita and Truman Arnold for their myriad contributions to A&M-Texarkana. Their unmatched generosity has forged a legacy that will benefit future generations of Eagles and the entire University community.

The Anita and Truman Arnold University Center is considered the heartbeat of campus life. It has the library, dining hall, bookstore, and key student services.

We have witnessed Texas A&M-Texarkana's growth over the past couple of years, and it continues to grow at an amazing rate. The former College of Business, Engineering, and Technology will be divided into two new colleges: the Anita and Truman Arnold College of Business and the College of Engineering and Computing. Both will be housed in the new James C. Morriss Business, Engineering, and Technology Building, set to open in spring 2026.
