Texas Cost Of Living Crisis With Daycare Expenses On The Rise
We've all heard people complain about the cost of groceries in Texas. Everyone you talk to talks about the cost of everything going up. Food isn't the only thing that's emptying our bank accounts, though. Daycare costs are soaring in the Lone Star State.

We all know that our money doesn't seem to go as far as it used to. Everything from eggs to going out to eat is more expensive. That includes daycares.

I'm no stranger to daycare costs. It's something that has been expensive as long as I've been a parent, and both of my children attended a daycare. The already eye-watering costs are only going up.
According to research conducted by the team at FinanceBuzz looked at government and non-profit stats regarding daycare prices over the past decade across the US, and they discovered that Texans have seen prices increase 33%.
The Incredibly High Costs For Daycare In Texas
What is mind-blowing is looking at the average cost of daycare in Texas. The first time I ever looked at the costs of putting just one of my children in daycare made my jaw hit the floor. I couldn't believe it would potentially cost me almost the same amount as my rent.

On average, in Texas, parents are paying around $818 per month for one child to attend daycare. The unbelievable part of that is that we're actually on the low end for costs nationally. Some places, like Maryland, are paying close to $2,000 per month on average.
Unfortunately, there aren't any easy answers or solutions for the problem of high prices at the grocery store, at the daycare, and everywhere else right now. Making a budget and sticking to it has never been more important. Hopefully, something will change for the better soon.
