Get Ready for the First Dallas Cowboys Sun Game of 2025
They used to say, the old Texas Stadium had a hole in the roof so God can watch his favorite team play. Jerry built AT&T Stadium so his sun can shine through and blind us all.
Just preparing everybody on Sunday for the annual, HOLY S*** why did we build a stadium like this?! When the Cowboys have a 3:30 kickoff, the sun setting comes blaring into AT&T Stadium. This will be the first game of 2025 like this, so if you're going to the game and sitting on the east side, bring sunglasses.
Coach Schottenheimer on AT&T Stadium Sun Issues
A reporter knew what was coming Sunday and asked the Dallas Cowboys head coach if he's prepared for his first sun game at AT&T Stadium. Seems like coach is aware this could be an issue for his players going into the west end zone on Sunday.
Why is AT&T Stadium Designed Like This?
The reason many believe AT&T Stadium is angled this way is because next door, you have a Walmart in Arlington. If we angled the stadium the other way to prevent the sunlight from blaring in, we would be staring at a Walmart. Granted, not the best view through those glass doors that way.
Reminder, The Stadium Does Have Curtains
AT&T Stadium does have a way to block the sun, but Jerry refuses to use them for Cowboys games. If you attend an afternoon boxing, basketball, concert, wrestling, literally anything else but a Dallas Cowboys game. Curtains can be used to block the sun. We will wait and see if the sun prevents another Dallas Cowboys touchdown like it has in the past, example below.
