A legendary New York pizza joint is about to open its first Texas location, and I can’t wait to give it a try. You can bet that I’ll be hitting them up the next time I’m in Dallas.

While I’ve never traveled to New York, I have been to New Jersey. And knowing what I know about how seriously they take their pizza up there, one of the first things I did was find a pizzeria and grab a couple of slices. In case you’re wondering, yes, it was all that it was cracked up to be.

Admittedly, I had never heard of Prince Street Pizza until I came across this story from WFAA announcing they would be opening in Dallas this Friday, October 24. It turns out, they’ve made quite a reputation for themselves in a relatively short period of time.

Prince Street first opened its doors in 2012. They were founded on the motto "If you can put it on pasta, you can put it on pizza,” which won me over as soon as I heard it. I haven’t found many pastas I didn’t like, so I’m chomping at the bit (pun intended) to pay them a visit.

They’re known for fresh-made handcrafted sauces, Sicilian-style pizza squares, and Neapolitan pies. Prince Street even goes as far as to have its own water filtration process to replicate New York water, so the pizza has the same texture as the pies made there.

The Dallas location is in the old Fireside Pies building at 2820 N Henderson Ave. The Grand Opening is at 11:00 am.
