A new report detailing the most and least boring cities in the U.S. found two Texas cities to be among the most boring.

Surprising Picks: Corpus Christi and San Antonio

Frankly, I was kind of shocked when I saw the results of the study by FinanceBuzz, especially considering both Corpus Christi and San Antonio are popular vacation destinations. Corpus was ranked the third most boring city, and San Antonio was among the ten most boring cities, landing at Number 6 on the list.

While I haven’t been to every city on the list, I have been to Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Oklahoma City, and Jacksonville. Let me tell you – I had a great time in every one of those cities, so take the results of the study with a grain of salt.

Behind the Rankings: What Makes a City “Boring”?

Sure, the results cast a negative light on the cities ranked as the most boring. But the fact of the matter is that when you compare metrics like population makeup, outdoor activities, and nightlife, someone has to come out on top, and someone has to come in last on the list.

Don’t Let the List Fool You—These Cities Are Still Worth Visiting

So, I wouldn’t let the list keep me from visiting any of the cities mentioned. I guarantee you there’s plenty of fun to be had in every one of them.
