Victory Monday, Dallas Cowboys Get a Big Win in the Big Apple
Yes, the game was technically played in New Jersey, but after a tie last week. It's nice to be back in the win column.
Scroll down to check out some of the best photos from Sunday's game against the New York Jets. This year, my Victory Monday posts will go through my five key takeaways from every Dallas Cowboys win.
1. Skycam Affected Two NFL Games Yesterday
When these cameras that fly above the field were installed years ago, we all thought they were going to interfere with live balls in the air. The only other incident I can find is from 2022, when one of the cables snapped and that delayed the game for 12 minutes. Fun fact, that was also a New York Jets game. The Browns also missed a kick yesterday due to skycam cable. I've never seen that before watching a Cowboys game.
2. Jets Are Historically Bad
Yesterday the New York Jets became the first NFL ever to start 0-5 and not have a single turnover on defense. It was nice to see the Cowboys not be in a shootout like they have been the past few weeks. The Jets are bad and the Cowboys beat them down like they should.
3. Dak is Elite One Month Into the Season
Towards the end of the game, it was mostly Cowboys fans taking over Metlife Stadium. Some MVP chants started in the fourth quarter and so far in the year. Dak is one of the leading quarterbacks in the NFL. He has the most yards thrown and highest completion percentage. When it comes to being an all time great in Cowboys fans eyes, it's all about the playoffs. Let's see if Dak can keep it going long into January.
4. Color Rush Not in Primetime?
Back in 2022, the Dallas Cowboys unveiled their new color rush uniforms. They have been dubbed the 'Arctic Cowboys' uniforms for the all white look. These have been reserved for prime time games. Thursday, Sunday, or Monday night games only. Until yesterday, for a noon kickoff against the Jets. Some Jets fans called the decision very stupid to wear their all black uniform on a 85 degree day. Since the Jets went all black, Cowboys went all white to counter it sounds like. Cowboys are now 6-1 in these uniforms.
5. Get Healthy for the Love of God!
Why many fans were worried about this game was the injuries for key starters were starting to pileup. Dak would be without three of his starting offensive linemen. No Turpin on returns. CeeDee was still out. This seemed like a game that could have gotten away with all these guys out. Those who stepped in did a great job yesterday. Hopefully some of those names are off this list for next Sunday against the Panthers.
