Temperatures are rising across much of Texas, but another cold front could soon impact the region.

This week, temperatures will be well above 80 degrees in the Deep South, but the extended forecast calls for a cool down. Yes, it appears that winter does not want to leave the region, and some on social media seem fine with that after the recent spike in temperatures.

We are now officially into Spring, and the cool fronts will slowly dissipate from the forecast, so if you are a fan of cooler days and nights, enjoy what could be the last of cold fronts, until late Fall.

Meteorologist Zack Fradella posted a graphic on social media to start the work week, and it indicates that a cool front could soon sweep across much of the Deep South and bring temperatures back down into the 40s.

The cold front would be felt the week of April 7th, just as many are prepping their yards and gardens for Easter and springtime months.

So, if you are a fan of these cooler days and nights, keep your fingers crossed that this extended forecast stays true and we can enjoy what may be the last of cool fronts.

After this cold front, we all know what's to come as we rapidly approach summer months, and even the 2025 hurricane season.

Here's a look at the extended forecast, and as you can see, the next cold front arrives by this weekend. After that, temperatures drop in about a week to start the next work week (April 7th).
