Texas Hospitals Recognized for Excellence in Heart Healthcare
All of us in Texas want many things in life. Some wish to be rich so they never have to worry about buying things, while others want to perhaps raise a family with that special someone. One thing important to everyone though is their overall health.
Why Is Health Important To Many Texans?
When a person feels well in the Lone Star State, they're overall just good to be around. Nobody likes feeling like garbage and trying to do something in their life. It's never a good time for anyone.
Sometimes though, health issues become very bad requiring hospitalization. While very scary, nurses and doctors work tirelessly to make sure patients feel better quickly. Some health facilities in the state may even be better for certain types of care as well.
For four hospitals in Texas, they've received national recognition for matters in caring of the heart.

Which Hospitals In Texas Are Top Ranked For Heartcare?
As reported by KXAN, U.S. News and World Report selected 30 hospitals as "Best Hospitals for Cardiology, Heart & Vascular Surgery." Chief of Health Analytics at U.S. News and World Report, Ben Harder, said the following about the selection process:
“We evaluate hospitals in 15 different specialty areas, like heart and vascular care. Then we also look at 20 different procedures and conditions like heart attack care or heart failure or heart bypass surgery...Very specific services that some hospitals provide, others may not provide, but we’ll evaluate all.”
With that being said, the four health facilities in Texas that made the top 30 were:
- Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center
- Baylor Scott and White Heart Hospital in Plano
- Houston Methodist Hospital
- UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas
But, even though these hospitals were ranked highly, it shouldn't mean Texans shouldn't avoid other health centers, per Harder:
“We certainly don’t want these rankings to be a substitute for patients listening to their doctors’ and other healthcare providers’ medical advice. It’s very important that they get that guidance at an individual level, our rankings are intended to help them make a data-driven decision.”
Remember, your health is always important Texas!
