Three Texas Beaches Ranked As Best In Nation

Thanks to it's close proximity to water, the state of Texas has plenty of beaches for one to go to. Who doesn't love a beach trip after all? As it turns it out, the state has received national recognition for its waterside retreats.

How Were The Best Beaches In Determined?

To find out the answer, we look at data collect by Home To Go. There were multiple factors used to decide the top list:

- Affordability Score
- Clear Skies Score
- Food and Drink Score
- Heat Score
- Local Secret Score
- Hidden Gem Score
- Visitor Satisfaction Score

With all of the factors listed, it's now time to learn the most important thing: Where are these best beaches in the state. And what was their score that made them the best in the United States?

Which Texas Beaches Are The Best In The Nation?

Per Home To Go, with an overall score of 57.19, Crystal Beach in the Lone Star State took seventh place on the list. Close to Crystal Beach was Surfside Beach, hitting a total score of 56.65 and placing 11th. The last beach on the list was at 17, which was Jamaica Beach and a score of 55.80.

Not surprisingly, California and Florida had seaside retreats in the top 5, as well as North Carolina. Florida overall was prominent in the top 25. So Texas has a lot of work to do to get more beaches on the list.
